Update:   Had to shut down manufacturing for a few days, I will use this time to stock up on materials and pre-fab certain parts.

Update: Back in Business!!!   I cut out a ton of parts for the 5-point chains and setup all my materials and tools, The reishi pile is gone :(   so I don't have to fight the hollow, but I am sure to make another one.

I am figuring out a price structure for the chains for my friend who is selling them at their booth.   So here goes my preliminary one:  

$10 - for the "Deluxe Plus" Soul Chain. (extra magnets around the outside)
$8 - for the "Ichigo Type" Soul Chain. (Rivets on the Soul Chain Plate)
$6 - for the "Regular Plus" Soul Chain. (Simple soul chain)
(Hoping to re-coup the cost of those expensive rare-earth magnets)

I will still be handing out soul chains through the weekend, but I will only have 15 or so Soul Chains on me per day so when I run out for the day , I run completely out for that day.   Also I am seeing if some can be handed out as prizes in the game room as well!!!

I look to be on track for making 100 of them, so I estimate about 1/2 to 2/3 of them will be up for sale.  

I am also looking into doing a "Konso Competition" amongst the Hall costume Soul Reapers.   I am seeing if a friend of mine will wear a Soul Chain and if you come up to them and ask them nicely if you can perform a konso and actually do it gently, respectfully, and possibly in character (gotta have respect for the dead).  Then they out a Soul Chain or a coupon for a soul chain.  (haven't decided which yet).

If my friend decides not to do it, I may ask the board for anyone willing to volunteer for "Wayward Plus" duty.

And now it is time for another update, otherwise known as "How much punishment can her hands take?"

OK, I made an inventory of what I have 100% done so far:

Soul chains:
5 point - 19
5 point deluxe - 5
6 point - 10
6 point deluxe - 9
Ichigo - 7

Grand total that are done: 50

I have about 20 more that are being painted and built another 23 or so tonite....

And I am going to make about 10 or so more of the Ichigo model....   So I Should hit 100 by the end of the week and maybe more!!!!!

Oh man that's awesome, I really admire your dedication!

I would gladly buy one, any idea where you will be hanging out on Friday?  I am trying to get a group of fellow first-timers together (http://ndkdenver.org/forum/index.php/topic,3650.0.html) and will probably be hanging out in front of the hotel till the panels start.

Update: I broke the 100 barrier today and now have 100+ soul chains.   I am waiting on the last batch of magnets to come in so i can finish them.... come on amazon, hurry it up....

The last Ichigo type chains have been built and they are getting their coats of paint and I am going to start work on my Zanpakto, I hope it goes well, I really want to makea cool Zanpaktou but I guess if I have to use my plastic katana all will be all right.  next comes the other fun con stuff like getting myself ready for NDK.  

I will contact those who made inquiries on this forum who requested chains here a little later this week. I want to setup some sorta time and place at NDK to meet up at to claim your chains so to speak.  Keep in touch.

Allright!!!   I have sent everyone who has responded to this thread a claim code for their FREE Soul Chain!!!!   The code is to ensure that the people who I sent the code are the ones claiming said soul chain.   That way we don't get lurkers taking all of my precious soul chains...... My Precious!   So if you posted to this thread check and print out the Soul Chain Claim Form.   If you post the code I will void it.   

I should be wandering the halls of NDK for all three days at the con so if you see me get my attention, Yell out "Hey Meredith from Squad 4, come over here!!!!"   I will be the soul reaper from squad four who is as tall as Isane Kotetsu, but not dressed up as Isane.   I will have a green squad four sash and backpack.  I may have other things clipped to my green sash, including a clip board.

I should have at least a couple of chains on me so unless I have just ran out and need to replenish them I will mark down you code as collected and hand over a nice shiny new soul chain.

I will be there with my squad four clipboard and will have chains availible for those I sent personal messages to and if you have the code or a cool costume you may get a Soul Chain.   Also I am holding a Konso contest, rules to follow, It will be posted in the cosplay forum.
