Also note that Dealers' Room has their own folks, not associated with my department. The only way to get into the Dealers room is to contact the Dealer you want to work with in person. Security is handled by our security folks in General, but specific security is handled by the dealers in-room. If you'd still like to Volunteer, please send me a PM and I'll add you to the list!

oh that sounds fun. If we volunteer do we still have to pay to get inside?
i'd probably die of happiness if i could volunteer for next years convention

cuz honestly surrounded by anime all day long would be like heaven to me.

Yes, if you volunteer, you still have to pay for an ordinary con registration (remember, it's cheaper to pre-register, plus you get a cool-looking badge). If you work enough hours, you can get some nice stuff. BakuDan's post starting this topic says what these were for NDK 2009. If you do want to volunteer for NDK 2010, please follow the instructions in the original post by BakuDan (i.e. send him a PM with the information listed in the post).

lol but for single day badges i can't pre-register right?

Unfortunately you can't pre-reg for single day badges. but given that the badges are about as expensive right now for the entire weekend as one day during the convention (plus you get an awesome laminated badge) it might be worth it to register now.

For the volunteering, you can take as many hours as you want out of what we are able to give you. You can volunteer for one day or for the entire thing. it's up to you.

Ok so I put in my hard 16 volunteer hours and earned the free pass for 2010. Does this mean I still have to send an email saying I want to volunteer again this year?

I'm not an authority on this but my understanding is that yes, you must re-volunteer each year. It's not automatic re-enrollment.

Absolutely! You will find a desk near the registration area with a big sign saying "Volunteers". We're always happy to have more people! ^_^

So... I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, Sorry if it isn't >.<

I volunteered this year and got a time sheet, but as I was helping tear down in the dealers room until like 10, I never turned it back in (That and I'm horribly forgetful). I Messaged one of the staff I worked with and they said to message volunteers SO....

I don't really care about the stuff you get for volunteering but I don't know if this is important for you guys to have?

I'm not quite sure if this is the right place, but I would just like to say thanks to the staff in the Dealer's Room and at Prop check. I volunteered there all three days and everyone was absolutely lovely to work with and answered all my questions. Thankies guys for lots of fun this con! <3!
