Actually, it's a Henry Selick movie, with no Tim Burton this time, but still is very Burton-esque. :)  I'm wanting to go see it myself.  :D

I was under the impression that it was Tim Burton. It looks like his work at first glance, but apparently not...

I imagine I'll slink away to see it soon.

Henry Selick directed Nightmare Before Christmas. It's got a bit of a Tim Burton feel, but that's really just because they have similar styles. James In The Giant Peach was that way as well.
I'm most likely going to be seeing it again. One of my favorite books ever in a very well done movie.

Just an aside, I was being fececious about the Tim Burton thing, it was more of a nudge to the large number of movie reviewers who keep attributing the movie to Tim instead of Neil.

I love Neil Gaiman's books :) I saw this movie last night in 3D. It was wicked. I just cant' get enough of stop motion animation. it's so amazing. You just have to think, it takes them a whole DAY just to finish 5-10 seconds, if they're having a good day! That takes so much dedication, and the beauty of it and the innovation it takes to make all those things! Like using popcorn for flowers! *sighs dreamily*

A bit of a spoiler...for those who don't enjoy ANYTHING being given away, even something in the animation
I love the way the background transformed into the grey and then started to be sucked off into the moon. It kept making me think of a video game when you clear an area *nerd*
Neil Gaiman has this thing for writing children's books...that children would probably be terrified of.
Kind of like the Watership Down cartoon. >XD

I'll be seeing Coraline tonight. I can't wait! I'm so glad to hear they didn't make another Stardust!

>>;;; I actually didn't mind the Stardust movie....but it DID pale in comparison to the book...

I wanna see a American Gods movie! But that's slightly off topic XD

I have On Demand with Comcast and they had a small video of a few scenes of them making it, that's how I knew they used popcorn for some of the flowers on the trees. I wish I could sculpt like that <3
