we asked at our local kinko's today and they called them, and yessiree it is open 24/7, in case that info'd be useful to anyone on here ^^
That's crazy (but useful, as I'm out of money until NDK and I wanted to do a last minute art in the next couple days to make into prints ^^; )

speaking of which, we just had all of our prints made today; how's everyone else doing on that front? ^^

I'm still not sure what to price bookmarks at this year; I feel like I under-priced them last year "/

What did you price them at last year?  I mean I'm pretty sure I've seen pretty much all bookmarks at $5-10 depending on the complexity of art or if there's anything fancy about them.

The little blue phone charms are ADORABLE!  I'm going to have phone charms with me as well, although they're quite different than those.
Are all the blue parts molded or made by hand, including the little stars? It looks like so much time was put into them
Cute! I may have to steal away from my table to wander over to yours and get me one!

Sounds fine with me! Im excited to see what you are making for this year! I cant wait to ensue the madness that NDK09 Will be! [Also, if you can PM me with a little list of what you are making, I have a plan and it would be nice to have your input/help on this =D]

Guys, less than 2 weeks and Im running like a headless chicken! We are in the middle of moving, school starts Monday, Job starts tuesday and we have so much left to do! Aaaaah! I cant wait for this to even begin! Talk about anxiety and excitement! [Which, I need to go now and make some more pins, oh gosh, we are so busy!] Good luck to you all!

I'm feeling good so far about my stuff.  I should be getting my prints by the end of the week so all I have left to do is make more keychains and charms.  I just hope that I make enough and people buy!  I don't really know how many phone charms to make.  So far I've just made 3 copies each of 6 designs.  If you think I should make more, I might have to go raid Hobby Lobby again for the rest of their phone...things. XD  It'll be my first time selling at a table, so it's all new to me...

Rin- I will definitely check out keychains, I love collecting keychains and I definitely would love to see more interesting home made ones at artist alley.  Because while it's fun to get the anime character keychains from the dealer's room, I love getting all kinds of keychains.

Hey not sure if this is exactly the right spot but when does the artist alley open on Friday?  I mean I know the Dealer's room usually opens 2:30-3, but I've never paid attention to when AA opens I just go over there whenever.  The reason I ask is me and my friends are probably getting there in plenty of time before DR opens and it'd be fun to hit up AA if it's up.

Ohhhh...I'm behind! Nothing new there. ^^; I still have a lot to tackle before NDK.

I don't remember what you priced your bookmarks at last year. Mine start at $4 and then there are deals for buying them in sets and stuff like that. Hope we sit close!!! ^___^

People (like myself ^_~ ) love charms and stuff, and everyone has a cellphone these days, so I'd suggest making more if you can ^^. For the cell phone straps, if you can wait until the week before/of (ie next week holy crap) the jewelry shoppe base metal findings should be on sale 50% off. This week it's the traditions and bead treasures glass beads. That way you can save some money if you think you can get them all assembled in those last few days. (I work at Hobby Lobby)

what are you making them out of? because in crafts we've got a brush-on clear glaze over with the polymer clays, by sculpey. It's air dry, you can get it in matte or gloss, and you put it on after everything's been fired and painted. It what my sister uses for her polymer clay items and it looks great. You could also buy a spray varnish in crafts or the art department, but those can be expensive. We have a 40% off (one item) coupon this week through Saturday, you can print it off from hobbylobby.com.

I've made them out of grafix shrink film.  I painted one that I'm keeping for myself with clear nail polish (lol) but my mom suggests I get something else.  I should head up there and check out the glazes.  =D!  And also buy more straps or clips or something for more charms.  But I want it anyway because I've noticed the ink likes to rub off on my fingers when I'm putting the charms together.  D:

So is time going by both really slowly and really fast at the same time for anyone else?  It's like I can't wait for the convention and yet I still have all these things to do..!

I did most of my prints yesterday, but I still have 2 more designs to do. Phone charms and wings are the last projects to finish up, then on to making business cards, signs and displays.
And yeah, I'm totally out of money too. I hope $75 will be enough for change this year!

Whoa, are people really selling bookmarks for $5-$10 each? Am I underselling myself here, or are these bookmarks just that super amazing? I've been doing $3 each or 2 for $5, although my designs look a lot better this year than last I think.
Man, my full sized *prints* are $5-$10!

Hey Rin, Use the sculpey brand GLOSS Glaze, its so much more convenient when it comes to coating and recoating [plus it looks AMAZING!]. Also, plan around 4-5 copies of each design when it comes to Charms... And make around 20-30 designs [at least our count is going by 40-50 right now].

We are gonna be changing things around our Alley... We have a couple of new things, some surprises and some really cool things that we came up with at the last minute [GENIUS! but why so late? ;A;].

Want a teaser? Im making... GARlic Toast.

Nah, I think your prices are better. it'd have to be pretty much the most amazing book mark ever for me to put down $5

I ended up buying some triple thick glaze and it's working out great.  I went today to buy more phone straps and they were out!  :O So I just bought some clasps so I can make regular charms too.

I'm anxious about my prints coming (hopefully) tomorrow.  They better be the right colors!  I still have to make signs and figure out how much to charge for my stuff.  I'm starting to feel nervous...XD

I still have to make practically all of my EGL chokers and cuffs, finish my glass pendants, cut out and laminate bookmarks, make my patches, put all our prints in sleeves and organize the books, design and print business cards, test our display and make signs, add the finishing touches to a couple of things... try to set up a schedule... go food shopping...

and I have no money until literally that Friday. At least I have direct deposit ^^;

very simple ones of one design ^^;

see my avatar over there of the heart container from Twilight Princess? I'm making iron-on patches of it. They're not edgestitched or anything fancy, and they're kindy flimsy as I don't have time to interface them, but they look nice (the first one is on my bag) ^^

I have other projects to work on first, but I'mma see how many I can get finished before the con ^^

If they do well this year, and we decide to do AA again next year (and get in) I'll make different designs. These are sortof a market test ^^

I've done trades before, I think as long as you're not....rude about it (Which I can't really imagine how...) usually me and the people I do it with just trade over even price (Like if they want a $10 print, I get $10 of their stuff)

I know I traded stuff last year, mostly with already established friends in the AA (in fact I'm certain you and I traded stuff last year angi ^^) but it's always nice to make new friends ^____^
