Sariochan Arts!

Yay! I'm there! I'm so excited! *dances around AA artists* Hope to meet a whole bunch more of you guys this year.

Hmm. I sell prints, bookmarks and do anime styled portraits. I may have some small original art for sale this year as well. Wish me luck.

Er... you can see my art at http://sariochan.deviantart.com/ (I'm not sure how else to link to the list there. ^^; )

See everyone soon and please come by and say "HI!"

hey i know theres way more artist then just us who have already spoken up on here. Don't be shy, say hello...^_^

Does it count if I'm not in AA?  Since I stopped running the con (thank you, Jeremy and Amanda) I have been doing a lot of BJD jewelry, now I'm well into a year's worth of making steampunk jewelry stuff for grownups.  But I have the minor problem that I love making stuff and hate the slow boring work to sell it, so I have these stacks of completed work.... LOL  Really should actually sell some of it eventually...  >.<;;  AA is always sold out so fast I'll probably never make it in, but I may open an online shop this year.  ^_^

Hi Kat!  Have you been making stuff too or are you too busy chasing people around with contracts and dealer packets?  ^_^

I'd definately like to see your steampunk stuff. I know lots of other people who would probably be interested as well.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

I'll probably put some in the art show then.  ^_^  yeah cosplayers!!!  This is going to be a year where I actually get to see cosplay... if you need any extra hands on paperwork and line moooooving let me know, I'm pretty free this year.  ^_^

You know, I wonder if any of the cosplayers ever think to put some of their prop work into the art and model show... I've never seen it happen, but haven't gotten to see the a&m often, and some of the props and stuff are amazing works of craft art too...

Agreed!  Many a prop has made me squee over the years with glee.

Bekka- I haven't gotten a *thing* made for this year- it's been crazy busy and we've got a baby on the way!  Awesome stuff, but not much time for my hobbies lol!

How is everyone doing on their stuff? I hope you all haven't procrastinated as much as I have ^_^;
I am sooo not ready (I get a nice two day weekend though so I'll be sewing away all day tomorrow/today and Sunday.)

I haven't procrastinated that bad, but bad enough! I've got a lot done, but it feels like I'm only half way. There are a couple prints I want to *draw* still, not to mention printing, sewing and completing everything. Still need to make the displays for the table and I'm about out of money for new materials and printing! It's crazy here. Sunday I'll be working on stuff all day. Thursday was 10 straight hours of ndk stuff making lol I'm afraid of not getting everything done that I want to.

haha that's pretty much where I am too. I just now got the majority of the sewing done on one of my projects, but I still haven't drawn any of my new ideas for prints. I worked on things pretty much all day today, and will be tomorrow. I haven't done anything for our displays yet...*sigh*...why oh why did I wait so long to do anything? ^^;

Good luck getting everything finished <3

Ha ha! I'm totally behind! I always am and I always wonder why I wait so long. ^^; I'm horrible about it but hey... I guess that's just how it goes in general. We're all running around at the last minute no matter what.

Good luck everyone! :D

Terra-
Your painted wooden figurines or whatever you call them are great!  I've bought some the last 2 years, I can't wait to see what ones you have this year, just hoping you have new ones because they're awesome!

.....
The little blue phone charms are ADORABLE!  I'm going to have phone charms with me as well, although they're quite different than those.
Are all the blue parts molded or made by hand, including the little stars? It looks like so much time was put into them
Cute! I may have to steal away from my table to wander over to yours and get me one!

question: those of you making bookmarks, how many of each do you usually make? last year we ran out of a couple designs, but had a bunch of leftovers of others. How many do you think is a good run?

*waves* depending on the series, i usually am for 10 of each? something like that. if it's a popular series maybe more like 20 of each. then again sometimes it never turns out the way you think it will. ^^;

That's one of those illusive answers for artists. How much? Which will be popular?
I usually end up with about 8-12 of each. I had 3 dragon bookmark designs last year all with the same dragon but just different colored backgrounds. I have most of them left, except for the one with the red-orange bg which I only have one of. It's just so hard to say.
If it really came down to it, you could post a "poll" of sorts with pictures of your bookmarks and people can tell you which they like the most? May help in deciding what to make more of =]

that's a good idea but seeing as how we're going to go have them printed tomorrow (and I'm in the process of designing/finalizing some of them right now ^^; )I don't think I have time..

I think I'm gonna shoot for 12 each, and if we need more there's a fedex kinko's just down the way from the hotel (though I can't figure out if they're closed saturday/sunday or open 24 hrs, the website is confusing)

I appreciate the input though ^^

You're welcome. And if I remember right I did stop in there on Saturday a couple years ago and they were open

we asked at our local kinko's today and they called them, and yessiree it is open 24/7, in case that info'd be useful to anyone on here ^^
That's crazy (but useful, as I'm out of money until NDK and I wanted to do a last minute art in the next couple days to make into prints ^^; )

speaking of which, we just had all of our prints made today; how's everyone else doing on that front? ^^

I'm still not sure what to price bookmarks at this year; I feel like I under-priced them last year "/
