Picked up SFIV and got the Mad Catz FightPad.  A good FightPad or joystick is almost mandatory for this game.  Now I can pull off the moves 90% of the time as opposed to 5% of the time.

I was going to ask if that MadCatz pad was worth getting. I know from lots of time spent playing Ultimate MK3 that the d-pad on the Microsoft controller was pewp. I was wary of buying the game and not being able to play it.

It's definitely worth the cost.  You'll be able to two scoops to your hearts content (or whatever the kids are calling it these days).  The bad part of the joypad from what I've heard is that the microphone port for the voice chat is really poor.  Also, there is some breaking in you'll need to do with the joypad, so be prepared to experience Nintendo thumb all over again.

I play Ken <.<
Regardless, you can find me on the PSN as themakattack. If I'm playing it, feel free to challenge me! I'm not nearly as good as I used to be though.

Good man that's the way to go because Street Fighter is a complex game and if you are that predictable then you will get destroyed.

Try the Xbox live battles feature or PSN feature . It spices things up and I have made some friends on there who I like to verse all the time and chat it up. I like the player matches instead of ranked or championship mode. You can verse someone multiple times and not have to worry about making a mistake and losing a ton of reputation for it but thats just me.

I'm with you here. I've gotta say though, I enjoy the Ranked matches alot more just cause there's more to fight for. Otherwise I'll just pick someone I'm not that good with and mess around. In Ranked I have to paly to the max (most of the time). Tough part is finding a match quickly. It takes forever to find someone with a good connection or for someone to join your lobby.
If a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing right.

Anyone even still play this? I just picked it up two weeks back. I'm enjoying the game more then I thought. I play from time to time still. If ya want a match I'm a PS3 owner so PM me for my ID.
