OMG! One of the coolest things ever! NDK 2009 group freeze!

Yes, NDK 2009 is far away, but early planning is always a good thing. After veiwing the below youtube video of people "freezing" on cue in New York's Grand Central Station, I thought, "People should do this at NDK!" Therefore, propose this idea: a large group of people could "freeze" in the lobby/atrium area of next year's con for about three minutes based on an audio cue. I think it'd get some surprised reactions from people who aren't in on the stunt! ;D

Definitely. I'd advise everyone to make sure there's enough rom around them for people to pass.

That would definitely be amusing to see. But as Remmy warned, if someone stopped at one of the choke points for traffic, staffers would make sure they wouldn't be standing there for long.

I would definitely advise working with the appropriate con staff people to make sure it's OK to do this and to make sure that the people who need to know about it know when to expect it. I wouldn't want anyone to get in trouble!

Well, I know the hallway by the autograph tables is definitely off-limits (just one person stopping causes a traffic jam XP ), as well as in front of any hotel entry/exit. Perhaps everyone could be in single file and walk along the wall in the lobby hallways (which held the lines for people wanting autographs this year). With a single line along a wall there wouldn't be any bottlenecks.

Who would the appropriate staff be?

I am a member of the denver group for this. It isn't restricted to just freezes though.  We are doing a meetup in one of the malls (haven't decided which I dont think I will look again) on December 20th, this one is based off of a xbox commercial that never took off you can see the video here. Perhaps it could be done in the lobby areas if each person had at least an arm's length space around them? :/ That would allow passersby to navigate through easier.

Are any of those people on these boards so I could notify them beforehand?
