Well, I just got a 360 and so far, I only have a few games. A friend of mine left the 360 in trust to me, so I don't know what games that would be fun to play. I tried Fable II, Tale of Vesperia, and Devil May Cry 4.

I was somewhat disappointed by Dead Rising -- awesome zombie battles made infuriating and unplayable by an asinine save-game system and awful boss battles.

Assassin's Creed is definitely a good choice -- rarely are games as immersive as that one.
Mass Effect is awesome, huge and very open-ended.
Crackdown is sweet.

If you people like old school, there is always Castlevania: SotN and the fairly new Mega Man 9.
