Funniest Con Moments 2008

Last year was my first, and there are many moments I had that were memorable, I'll tell a couple.

 I apologize for this, but a friend of mine and I were hanging out friday night near the VG room and I saw a guy cosplaying Luigi sitting on the first floor. I shouted to him and hid behind a pillar so he couldn't see me. I did it a couple more times and he couldn't figure out who was calling him. It was really funny at the time, but maybe a little mean.
I'm sorry..

And on saturday night Pestilence and I left the masquarave and were hanging out in the atrium. Somebody who knew us, was talking to us for a good five minites, but it wasn't until after they left that we realized we didn't know who it was.
We spent almost all of sunday trying to figure it out, and I don't know if we ever did.

Huh...I think that Luigi was me...I was doing my rounds and somebody kept calling down to me while I was over near the DR. Never could figure it out.

That happened to me too! It was a pair who, in a flurry of squeals, tackled me to a corner and started to chatter away. I had absolutely no idea who they were, but being painfully polite I merely talked with them and gave vague little ho-hums of answers while beating my head to the wall to try and remember who the heck they were and where I knew them from. My town? My old school? The last con? Who knows!

You have no idea how often that happens to me. But it's not while at the con.. it's after. A few times in the past someone has run up to me shouting something incoherent with the very occasional word of "anime" or "convention" tossed it. All you can do at that point is pass an awkward crooked smile while nervously laughing and agreeing with whatever that person says. Just goes to show how much different we look out of costume! lol

My funiest things did not really happen during the conBut on the way there and late Friday night.

O The way there we got lost and past the con. As we were looking around my girl friend( First con for her BTW) Started telling me about odd the odd people driving the way we came. Things like " That guys hair is like longer then mine! " or "that girl hair is bright pink"  I really did not pay atatio to what she was saying till she said " is it normal for people to drive with cat ears down here?" I looked over at her and said "sweetie. I think they are going to the con and do not dress like that daily"

Later that night. we were trying to find our room but was not sure what the room number was. so we picked a door we thought was ours and started trying to open the door. as I stept away fom the door thinking it was not ours it opened up and there were three guys in their 30s in the room. she said she was sorry and we were looking for our room, they invited her in but she walked away (yay she did not leave me) as we walked away and before the door closed we heard " oh my god! she had boobies!"  I almost passed out it was so funny.

I would tell you about the funniest thing at my first con. But its not really G, pg or PG13 rated.

I had absolutely no idea who they were,.... Just goes to show how much different we look out of costume! lol

Eesh, forget out of costume, how about ten years older?  I keep talking with young men with a great deal of billowing hair and beards and mustaches and they are someone that I would recognize no problem right up until they hit puberty and now they're 16 or 17 years old, *laugh*  At least with the girls, they don't end up with a lot of facial hair to obscure that once-familiar face.  Normally anyway.  >^_^<

this is REALLY late, but I'm pretty sure that was me you were talking to in the atrium... xD
