Funniest Con Moments 2008

I love laughing and making people laugh, and NDK is one of my favorite places to do it. I want to hear what cracked you up this weekend!

My personal funniest moment this year was actually the Mr. T Ceremony. Someone mentioned that they were heading to the Tea Ceremony, and I heard Mr Tea Ceremony, and it just blossomed. I found myself wandering the halls saying "Ah pity tha foo that don't go to the Mr T Ceremony! Don't gimme no jibba jabba, punk! Get yo butt to the Mr T Ceremony!" Hilarity ensued.

I want to hear what made you laugh! ^_^

a young woman who looked strikingly like River Tam (Summer Glau) was talking to theshadow a about something, as I sat nearby, and every once in awhlie I'd catch snippets of the chat, but not the full thing ... until the point where she cheerfully says how happy she was that her grandparents were dead. I looked over at her, made eye contact, and just suddenly burst into wildly inappropriate laughter. She just seemed so nonchalant about the statement that I couldn't help myself. I couldn't stop for several minutes...  Recalling the moment now I can't explain what made it so funny, but clearly context is a valuable part of any conversation.

they dropped banana man during the Saturday dance during a crowd surf.  finally justice  :D

I had a rather cute/funny moment myself.  There was a little girl (had to be 6 tops) that had a camera, and while I was sitting table in Artists Row for my uncle she was going around taking pictures of people.  She came up to the table and goes "Excuse me can I take your picture now?"  It was so adorable!

She did take a pic (I wish I could see how it turned out) and thanked us then walked off to take more pictures, her Dad bringing up the rear.  :)

Not roaringly funny, but definitely makes me chuckle when I think of it.

I guess the funniest part of NDK 08 was perhaps the skit I was in. I dropped my mask when I was going to fake hit Rem (Fox) with my cowbell. I was like "Oh shoot!!! There goes my head!!! Now I'm decapitated!!!!" That was embaressing and funny at the same time ;D.

Sooo. Being all lovey-dovey with my Pein. xD Doodle kept saying things with this man voice that cracked me up.

Stripping Amaya's tights off, I was ROFLing during the whole thing. Only at NDK man.

Then walking around with Garion then hearing this one random conversation and all I caught was "I got through an entire (guitar hero) song on easy, playing with my feet!"

Then watching one of the staff's kids dressed as Ivy from Sakura Wars coming up to me and saying "I wanna play!" While sitting with Amaya in the hall. She kept running around in circles. It was too cute.

Story #1. Do you need a walker?

I was in the elevator going to my room and listening to some of the attendees talk about Sailor Moon, and how they had grown up on it.

"I was a year out of highschool when it aired in the US."

*dead silience ensues as all 5 of them stare at me*

Yes, I'm old...

At least it cracked me up. :D

Story #2 Amusing the new director

So this weekend like a good director Bakudan was all over the con moving from place to place and putting in a lot of face time.

So occaisonally us staff like to take a break and just chat for a bit. On several occasions we saw Bakudan coming up on us as we were chatting.

Everytime he did, I would turn to my cohorts and say just loud enough, "gods coming, look busy!" and we would all scramble shuffling papers, or "running off" to another appointment. It was tons of fun.

sitting through patton's crazy panel, the random places caramel would start up. Geass Pizza skit, >< which i missed the last bit of it when i was recording.

Well even though I felt bad for him, I have to say seeing Remmy ditched on the stage as Fox was quite hilarious. Especially since after the fall, I thought they would have been keeping a closer eye on him.  

Not to mention the craziness in the yaoi room on Saturday night. xD  I don't think I've seen people move/slam doors so fast.

Hmm. Well, hilarious for others, scary for myself.

I was chillin with a small group of people who are now my friends, and the candy ninja walks behind me with his boom box. Conviniently, the thing goes off right behind me, and i flip out. Scared the luff out of me. X__X Everyone else got a good laugh, though, seeing me jump, dash, and cower next to the nearest wall. XD
