Accomplistments at NDK

List the things you accomplished at NDK this year...

- Coming to NDK with at least knowing 15 people when last year i came in only knowing like two.
- Doing an awesome Kino crossplay.
- Pictures of me as Kino dueling other gun wielders.
- Some good pictures in general.
- Made a pretty descent splicer for my love so she could be a Little Sister from Bioshock on Friday.
- Last minute cosplay decision to dress up as Reborn for photo shoot.
- Getting called Reborn by those at the photo shoot for the rest of the weekend.
- Had the entire Ouran Host Club plus Renge & Nekozawa.
- Talking to Catlin Glass and her tellling us we would be put on the funimation website.
- Getting called Kyoya by Vic and then having everyone cheer at the Q&A.
- Seeing Hayate again from Hayate the combat butler.
- Getting recognized as the original Kyon from last year.
- Getting recognized as Tomoya from Clannad by six people on Sunday. (Took all weekend long for that many people at AW)
- Getting 100+ people to watch Anime Improv.
- Only going in the dealer rroom once and not spending a penny.
- Getting my hair cut at the con to go from Kino to Kyoya.
- Sitting in front of Vic & Catlin at the Premiere.
- Sharing a hotel room with friends and without crazy drama.
- Actually seeing what the closing ceremony was like.

I guess my main goal was being able to have my co-worker no full time friend Cody aka Sir Psycho Sexy. 1st con,  never cosplayed,  been to an otaku gathering, so this was a huge deal for him and he had a blast. So thank you to everyone for showin the NDK luv to the noobz

PS. He was a Pokemon Trainer w/ a Mew and Kiba all weekend

- Getting to take my friend Lisa and her roommate Kim to their first con
- Getting one autograph
- Grabbing one piece of swag
- Pulling off my Sakaki crossplay and doing it well (I hope..?)

Hmmm, my main goals at this con were to count how many people recognized who I was on Friday (17!), protect mah bestest girl from being accosted by her ex (he behaved!), and participate in the karaoke contest. ^_^ I won the English portion of it, so...

Mission accomplished! It was a great con.

I personally think this thread is a great idea:

-The Forum Awards was my favorite thing to do.  I really enjoyed the turnout and I think a lot of positive energy came out of it.
-Getting in line early enough to see the AMVs and the Cosplay contest
-Starting the chants of "Zombie!" and "Go...Fox!"
-Actually buying something from the Dealer's Room this time
-Spending time equally between all of my friends
-Finding a good parking spot
-When one of the cosplayers top piece broke during their walk-on, shouting encouragement for them to continue and that everything was okay.
-Making it to every panel/event that I wanted to
-Productive time, less wandering this year
-Being able to actually provide a ride this year, instead of asking someone for one
-Staying for the whole NDK
-Not wearing my headphones or listening to music once
-Reading only 20 pages at a three day event
-Not sleeping during the daytime
-Making new friends

I think just BEING Fox is accomplishment enough, props to you, my friend, you really got some attention out there.

Thanks! That's partially why I put "making it to all my shifts on time" on there...I guess that excludes one time. Oh well! It was still good to actually get to cosplay a mascot this year!

-Gathering a lot of cosplayers to join me at the bar on friday night

im just glad i survived my first year on staff... well and the fact that i had fun, spent some money since i was complaining that i hadnt spent any sunday morning!! lol! and of course hanging out with and making new friends!!!

-Went to a convention alone for the first time.
-Came out of my shell and actually socialized with several great folks.
-Got more pictures taken of me than I think I ever have.
-Pulling off a pretty dang butch crossplay.  Yee haw.

The list is massive, and I have a tendency to ramble, so I'll just keep it to the basics.

-Had my own room, instead of mooching off someone else.
-Joined in on a lot more things instead of standing to the side, watching.
-Was very careful with purchases, only getting a couple things from the artists gallery/pavilion/area.
-Danced without reservation or self-doubt for the first time.
and the most important one for me:
-Did not feel alone in a crowd, as in previous years.

-Talked to two of my "friends" and didn't get punched by one of them.(long story there....)
-Gained an entire new group of friends
-started a new cosplay group.
-had more then a fair share of "breast examinations"......sometimes it's best not to ask.
-Had an entirely Square Soft/Enix convention.
-found a Cloud.
-actually had an atrium room, which the balcony was promptly decorated.
-had more pictures taken then I could remember.
and finally:
-not only brought Yuna out, but didn't fall over, get hurt or reveal anything. She even got pictures with her bahamut.

Well it sounds lame, but dressing in my Ninja Monkey Master costume, with my stuffed ninja monkey(don't know, you may have seen me wandering), I got more hugs that my ninja monkey, unlike last year.  It sounds stupid, but made me feel pretty good to get more attention then a stuffed animal...wow that did sound lame...but oh well!

-Actually went to my first con! Wheeee!
-Didn't spend every dime I had on every single item I wanted
-someone actually knew I was cosplaying as Sunako Nakahara
-When Vic signed my dvd cover of "The Wallflower" he pointed at Takenaga saying "That's my boi!"
-Chris Patton Shares To Much, need I say more.
-Seeing a ninja pirate zombie battle
-Met people who actually love Sailor Moon as much as me!
