Random Idea I Had...

So this is just a thought. I'm not sure who would have say over this. And i don't think there is an exact board for forum suggestions.

Forum organized events at ndk like photo shoots, pajama partys, meetups, lunch ins, stampedes, and what have you are becoming increasingly popular. Most seem to be in the cosplay boards. If someone had a question about their costume or wanted some tips or something it would actually be buried by these topics. Some people who might be looking for one of these things might not know to look in the cosplay section. My idea is to create a board or sub-board for forum organized ndk events. This of course is just an idea.

Uh, we already have categories specifically for those purposes. There's the Cosplay & Costuming section (with two sub-boards) for people who need costume help and suggestions. I have a hard time believing that someone wouldn't know to look for a Cosplay section.

As for NDK-forum-organized events, that's what the Events (and Event planning sub-forum) section is for.

Some cosplay-related meetups are organized/advertised in the cosplay section and that's fine--they only apply to cosplayers, so they don't really apply to people who don't go to that section of the forum anyway.

No i'm saying the Cosplay & Costuming board which is for "Tips, tricks, show & tell. " is really used for three things: Creating Gatherings/Photoshoots, Recruiting, and some general cosplay discussion. And as far as forum organized events i meant just ones that actually happen at NDK. The cosplay section itself seems to be more used as "Gather people from the series your cosplaying" or "talk to those who are cosplaying from the same series" rather than actual cosplay discussion. Just something to think about.

The events section is for convention based events also. It really is up to the community to organize and make them known. Katie has compiled a list of photoshoots for instance. She simply chose the place she felt would be most visible to the people interested. If someone else wants to compile another sort of list, then they can ask us to sticky it, and we will look into it.

I am not trying to be argumentative, and your suggestion has been taken into consideration. I am just not convinced that we need a special section set up just for events on the actual weekend.
