2008 NDK Forum Awards
« on: August 31, 2008, 04:26:12 pm »
INTRODUCING: The First Annual NDK Forum Awards!
We’re beginning an application this year where you, the forum member, get a chance to recognize your favorite posters in each category.  The categories have been pre-selected by our Forum Award Committee (Myself, Batman, and Rem, go figure).  We will take the votes all the way up until 6AM ON THE MORNING OF THE 11TH, THURSDAY, and on September 12, 2008 (Friday), we will provide certificates to each winner at 10pm.

Here’s how it works:  It’s very simple, each person will be permitted to submit 1 (one) vote for each category of the top three posters in each category.  A first place vote will give that poster 5 points, a second place 3 points, and a third place 1 point.  This is designed to make the voting process more interesting.  Someone may take the overall first place vote by getting a whole bunch of second place votes.

You may send your votes to myself, Batman, or Rem and I will be in charge of calculating the total for each person.
Here are the categories:
Most helpful
Most resourceful
Most relevant poster
Most friendly
Most generous
Most humorous
Best cosplayer
Most popular
Most peculiar
Most versatile poster
Most loved
Best signature
Most energy
Most intelligent
Most positive influence

There are only a few rules.
1) You may only submit three names per category.
2) You may not vote yourself.
3) We encourage you to mix it up a little.  Try not voting the same person over and over if you can help it.  We’re looking to really surprise some people with an award that they may not have expected to win.
4) Please include full username when submitting, I don’t know everyone by first name and probably less likely I will know the nickname you have for them.

Other than that, feel free to complete this at your leisure, and try not to share your answers with everyone (remember, this is supposed to be a surprise).  Hopefully, you all will find this fun and engaging, the convention has a lot to do with YOUR input, so this is our chance to recognize some people.

I know i'm not well known here, but i think a good idea would be each person can only win one category.

Do we have any seconds on this motion? No one has voted yet, and I'd be willing to go for it.

I'm going to abstain from voting for various reasons, but I can't wait to see who wins what categories!

Is there a difference between "Most loved" and "Most Popular"?

Yes.  Most loved is who you love the most and most popular is who you think everyone else loves the most.

It's really up for interpretation.  Vote as you feel appropriate.

lol, if that's the case I should revise mine XD
I figured both were from the 'public view' so to speak...  Oh well ^_^  It'll make it all the more interesting to see how it turns out!

I don't negotiate with terrorists.  o_o

However, just this once, I'll do it.  Which I have.  I'm just gonna wait until tomorrow to send it in in case I think of someone better for each category.

The results thus far are really cool.  If it ended right now, there would be some surprised people out there at what they won.
