Fellow NDK Rockers!

So, I'm sure everyone has noticed that to enter the "Battle of the Rock Bands" at NDK, you must have 4 band members. What better place to recruit them than from OTHER NDK goers?!

So, to keep it simple, yet organized...If you need bandmembers, list as follows:

Well...I've actually got a couple in mind.

I was thinking...I want to do a song that can net a bunch of points, obviously...but also one that allows us to "play to the crowd"...cause If me and my girl are doing this...we are going ALL out...cosplay and everything right?

So...my top picks right now:

"Move Along" - All American Rejects
"Tom Sawyer" - Rush
"Dirty Little Secret" - All American Rejects

But to be honest with you...that's literally off the top of my head tonight...I'll have a better idea this weekend of what I'm wanting to play.

Anything by Rush is fine with me though I'm more hoping either Shockwave, Critical Acclaim, or something bit more fast.

Sorry bout the gender bender there...lol. Yeah dude...if it's just the two of you, I say we set it up. As for the other Rush songs...I've got to dl them...again...kinda this weekend. I'm RB'ing it all weekend, so maybe I can catch you online at some point. My girl is in St. Louis at the moment, so she won't be joining us, but at least we can get a few songs practice in...ya know?

Ha. I say I can play drums on Expert...because you guys said we could pick which song...lol. Tom Sawyer I'm working on. I can finish on Hard...decent score...Expert kicks my ass on that song though.

Just a reminder, all four positions of the band must be filled. Therefore, realistically, you can have three band members with one doubling up vocals and an instrument.

I'm just looking to rock out the Battle of the "Rock" Bands this year at NDK. I just need a band to do it with. If anyone is looking for a singer i would love the spot. Im in to win so im looking for band members with the same mentality. Ive been singing for years now and just love to rock...I also love working crowds.

yo fellow ndk-ers. I am from out of state and have been here for the past three years, and I would like to say for that the past 2 years I have enjoyed NDK and hope to enjoy it this year as well. However as life goes on you seem to not have enough time to enjoy things as fun as this. I have Friday and Saturday off and am hoping for a Sunday off on the 14th, but all this aside I simple cannot wait for this tournament.

Now my questions are is there going to be a Guitar Hero tournament or has RB completely replaced this?

Do/can we bring our own peripherals (guitar,drums, ect)?

I played the Tournament last year and took the trophy >.> and am curious about this very much.

I am what people would like to call a hardcore GH-er player, and along with that obviously comes RB. I am pretty freak'n good at Guitar and am eager to form a band. First a little short story . . .

The last two years I have attended I went with a certain group of friends and it just so happens one of these friends is as good a guitarist as I am drummer (we are both competitive with these games) and I haven't been able to get a hold of him these past few weeks because his phone is off and w/e and his brother on my xbox live account up in South Dakota doesn't know where he is too (kinda weird) anyways LONG STORY SHORT I want to form a band with or without him (basically if I can't get a hold of him before I could manage forming a band kinda like whatever happens first).

I can play Guitar - Expert Gold Starred almost every song (have around 140ish DLC songs)

as far as Guitar Hero games go I can 100% Free Bird on GH2 fairly consistently (with 50 other GH2 100%) and have err... around 45ish 100% on GH3. As you can tell I am into these games very much - in fact I've meant Dancing Fighter G played 1 tournament with him and the 10 year old wonder Ben and if it wasn't for my busy schedule I would definitely be a part of the Cutthroat team (or work hard to attain that seeing as how more and more people are picking this game up).

S.H. here,
#1: With Guitar Hero and Rock Band, I can play between Hard and Expert on the guitar. # of stars depends on the song

#2: I've only tried singing on Med. but will try to practice on exptert, but this will be hard as I explain it in topics #3 and #4.
#3: I haven't downloaded ths song for Rock Band and only know the lyrics from my iPOD. Will try to get it from the PS3 store later.
#4: On the 23rd, my PS3 went out on me

, so it's currently in the shop. I won't be able to practice untill it is returned, hopefuly before the kon starts. If not, I'll post the bad news.
#5: The song is STILL ALIVE, it's either listed as being made by GLADOS, the PORTAL company, or by Shaun Guerin from the album "From Genesis to Shaun."
#6: The Bass Player can only do Med., will try to get him to be able to play hard, expert is slim to not likely. This will be hard as stated in topics #3 and #4.
#7: Are you guys looking for a specific difficulty or would you be allright with what the Companion Cube and bass player have to offer?
And #8:To AJ1059 and clooficarus, if you have any suggestion or other questions or what not, leave a post or send a personal message. YOUTUBE.com has videos of the song from the game, and even from Rock Band.
