It also seems like Gimme Gimme Pillow Toast is trying to get some of Gimme Anime's name recognition... why else would two anime(-related) stores in the region both have "Gimme" in the name?

*shrug* Same kinds of things were thrown around about "Buy Me Anime" and "Gimme Anime", with the names being so close together. I'm not sweating it too much. They are on the other side of town and they mostly sell Japanese knick-knacks, with some anime goods thrown in.  Anyone who's been to both will quickly realize the different the 2 stores are.

We'll give it a shot. We've managed to find a few new Japanese distributors since the ones we had when we first opened went belly-up. Give us a bit, since I'm still putting the store back together  :-[

I'm patient, don't worry about it. Usually, I am the most patient person you can find, hell, if I can put up with certain people that I know, I can just about put up with hail, blizzards, cat fights, and so on. So take your time.

I'm not saying this to plug my workplace, [well, maybe a little. :)] but the Anime selection @ Best Buy is fairly solid. It takes up more & more shelf space all the time!

Very true. Best Buy does carry quite the selection when it comes to anime. I want to say the same about Borders and manga. Wide and varied selection well except for OOP stuff.

I know a good place for manga, though usually I wish I could buy at one place. I also want to find a place that carries plushies.

Barnes and Noble at Colorado Mills, I found that it is the best place I have found to get manga

Aside from the Borders across the street, there is a more of a selection, plus, it takes up an entire wall. The Borders across the street is on a smaller shelves and you don't see all the titles. I like seeing the titles, plus it is a little dim in the area of which it is in, the store is bright, but the shelves are not. I can't see that great, so when I go to the Barnes and Noble, and having an entire wall of manga there, I can see the titles and I don't have to kneel down so much.

Ah okay...well if put in that sense B&N seems better. The B&N here in Thornton has a very small selection compared to the Westminster one which is quite larger in comparison. Then in terms of Borders...both the Northglenn and Flat Irons one carry a good amount as well. Only places I really go to besides Black & Read for used Manga.

the B&N and Borders here in the South carry big Manga selections, but not always the same titles. I want to check out the local Tattered Cover, but I'm never over that way when it's open.

A new Best Buy just opened at Arapahoe/University. I thought it's Anime selection was pretty small compared to the BB's North and West of here. I was worrying that this was the start of a less-Anime trend.

Yes two entirely different stores and both very good. I got a really pretty fan necklace from Gimme Gimme Pillow Toast at NDK.

I did get some neat stuff when I went Anime Vegas, some of the stores there were pretty cool, I wish they were in Denver though and not just in Las Vegas.
