Any one in the Rapid City area, there is openings both at Icing and Claires. Be dressed nice when turning in App.
Smile! It does a body good. Or at least makes people wonder what you are scheming. :)

I'm super tired of working retail and want a more fulfilling job more focused on art and creativity. Anyone in Colorado Springs hiring artists?

Also, we've cut hours hardcore lately, but I'm certain that Hobby Lobby will need people for the holiday rush. 15% employee discount on top of sales for all your arts and crafts (i.e. cosplay ^_~ ) needs

I'm currently in the "looking" category. I have all sorts of experience behind me - from oodles of customer service to desktop support to volunteering all over (Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, kids' sports) - but I think I'm going to try to find something where I get paid doing something that I find interesting! Not that working with kids wasn't interesting - far from it - but you don't get paid for volunteering!

Anyway, I'm looking at pursuing one of my dreams, that of working in Film, as in film production - producing and directing is the direction I want to go, but I'm open to entertaining any ideas.

If anyone has any local (Denver) contacts, let me know. At this point I want to talk to people in the industry to see how much the dream matches up with the reality. Probably a good place to start, I figure!

Thanks for any help!

Well, I might as well post here and see how this goes.

I'm looking for a job. My experience is primarily in video and film (video editing, production, that sort of thing). I interned at Denver Open Media and still volunteer there. I went to DU and my degree's in Digital Media. I have experience in web design and graphic design. My skill set inclludes HTML and some CSS; some programs I use or have used before are Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and QuarkXPress. PM me if you'd like to help me out! :)

looking for work
I have been a delivery driver for the past 10 years, started in a van, went to a box truck, got my cdl and went OTR in an 18 wheeler
drove 50 states +Canada solo for a year, then started training, did that for about a year. over 2 years OTR experience.
have been working locally as the nightshift supervisor for a trucking company that delivers mostly groceries. drove my truck while dispatching and doing nightshift management duties. 2 years at this company.
that's over four years experience driving an 18 wheeler dry van/refer, 2 OTR 2 local
+ management and training experience.
was let go recently and NEED to find local work, my family cant have me OTR again. This feels like a longshot, but I'm trying everything I can to get a good local job.

also, I have tried looking into airport security for DIA and I cant really see how to apply (the website sends you to broken URLs or just in circles, USA jobs doesn't seem to have a listing either) if you have more info it would be appreciated. thx.

It appears my company has multiple Instructor positions open, and very frequently we have customer service positions available as well. Also not-so-frequently we have specialized positions open ranging from Information Technology, Marketing, Publishing and a wide range of other professions.

There are positions opening at King Soopers, at least that's the poster I have seen, so far though I would be a little weary of it. You just need to walk up to the service desk and ask for an application, DO NOT use the computer to do this, you need to physically walk up to us clerks and ask for an application.

Unfortunately your age plays a great deal with finding a job, but considering that King Soopers is always hiring during the summer as well as now, you might go to kingsoopers.com and at least give it a try, though I don't know if that is much help. Sadly, even when I was your age, all I could do was babysit and pet sit for neighbors.

I may be in the process of finding a new job. I'm 23 and live in the commerce city/thornton area. Experience I got is I worked at Ups for a month in 06 during the xmas season and i'm a dishwasher and been there since 07 making it 2 and a half years experience. I am always looking for something new and want a job that pays way well than the job I want... I only make minimum wage.

Do you work in a restaurant? Why not ask the chef to give you a shot on the line?
