I know this is like early but I'll be looking for a job once I get done with schooling up here in Canada, I get done in December but I'll start looking in January 09, with 3d modeling, 3d lip-syncing, and concept artist. >___>;; and er anything that can help get bills payed and what not as well feed my cosplay addiction? And I would like to move back to Colorado for a while again. :/ if anyone has any recommendations for that? (Even though its a long ways off I still would like to start to get into contact with some possible companies if possible ;3;)

I'm wondering if there is anywhere that would hire a 16 year old who has no work experience? I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find anywhere. Any help please?

The things that come to mind are movie theaters and fast food. I worked at a movie theater years ago. The work sucked and the pay sucked, but it was about the only thing I could get at the time.

King Soopers and Safeway will hire 16 year olds. You just don't get that many hours. I think it's 30 at most.

I'm looking for a night shift job.  Aurora preferred, but I don't mind a commute if I have to.  With my class schedule, the only time I can work is 3rd shift, so if anyone knows of anything, please let me know.
PSN:  Skrae     3DS:  3308-4741-5349     Steam:  Skrae (the one with The Undertaker picture)

I can also help to identify bootlegs, if you have a questionable item, send me a message and some pictures if you can and I'll get back to you when I can.

I know of at least one game company in the Denver area that might be looking for 3d artists when you're looking to come back: NetDevil.  Food for thought :)

I want to work in a cosplay cafe. T^T

But that's an impossible tragic dream. *Cries*

*Sniff* Unless anyone's heard of one in Colorado?

...Perhaps I should start my own business...I know my grandpa wouldn't object, lol. XD

Where the dress code for the female waitresses are colorful frilly french maid dresses just like the ones in Japan! >w< <3

Ah! That would be so cool!!! >w< <333

Then again my grandpa did also suggest me becoming the manager of a high class gentleman's club (that he'd own), lol. Ah, a girl can dream. =w=

That would be cool :D I'd soooo go to it!!!! But on the topic, Big Pimp is right. I work at King Soopers too, and I think we're short for C.C.'s  (a.k.a. Cuordusy Clerks, and I can't spell) in the Westminster area. If anybody wants to, go to the one off 104th & Federal. That's where we need them. The pay is fair at $7.00 to $8.00, sometimes they even let you be checker too (just to throw out there, but not all the time) :).

What I'm about to say is my personal experience and opinion. I would not recommend working for NetDevil. Not unless you want to be underpaid, overworked, and not appreciated.

For your fourteen year olds looking for jobs, go to a mall and apply everywhere.  Mostly the food court, probably.  I started working when I was 14 at Southglenn.  XD  Food sucks, yes, but nobody else really hires that young.

A lot of food places won't hire under 16, mostly because they can't user most of the equipment. At least not legaly... Also you can't work a lot because of child labor laws, which is why you can't work more than 16 hours a week under 16.

The food places I worked at let 14+ work, but they weren't allowed to operate machinery or use a knife, so forth.

You can always apply at the place I work for, RGIS. It's an inventory auditing company. Meaning all you do is scan and count items. $9 an hour to start. The only catch is if you live north of Denver, that'll put you in disctrict 253 (mine). Unless you're 18, you can't leave the state for travel jobs,  which make up about 2/3 of them. A lot involve frequent trips to Wyoming or Nebraska a month.

But if you're down in Denver, you should be able to get into a district where there isn't much travel, and you might be able to carpool with people if they live nearby.

Meh, $9/hr... oh well, I might just do that.  A few questions:

  • If you're in a low-travel district, is there still an option to travel to get more hours?
  • How consistent are the hours?
  • Is scheduling reasonably flexible?  My frequent engagements as a con addictstaffer means I end up taking a lot of random weekends off.

  • If you're in a low-travel district, is there still an option to travel to get more hours? Of course. If you're in a low-travel district like Denver, you'll get many more hours of actual work. As long as you're efficient, you'll be able to join the 'big box' team. This is the group that does all of the targets and other large stores (Solid 8 hour days. No Wal-Marts)
  • How consistent are the hours? I average about 20-25 hours a week, less during the holiday season, more during january/february
  • Is scheduling reasonably flexible?  My frequent engagements as a con addictstaffer means I end up taking a lot of random weekends off. As long as you give your team leader advance notice, ie within a day of receiving your schedule for the next two weeks, you should be fine. There are always certain days where they need everyone in the district working because there are multiple jobs going on.

Results aren't guaranteed. Also, keep in mind that RGIS employs the most unusual sort of people you've ever met. There are a few otaku sorta people, but let's just say.. it's like high school all over again, only with a lot of 25-45 year olds.

I'm working for a PakMail in Colo Springs. I know we aren't hiring right now, but towards the end of November and all of December we're going to need a lot of temps for the Holiday Rush. I'm not sure how low our age bracket is for that, but my boss is pretty cool about those things. And you don't have to have cash register experience or anything. The regular employees do that and deal with the customers while the temps are in the back, madly packaging and labling things. So no real social skills needed! :D

I am looking for a job, preferably some kind of office work. It's a field where I have no official experience but a great deal of skill, and the tasks suit my need and talent for organization. I have spent several years working with children, as a volunteer, mentor, counselor, assistant and lead, so I have a lot of patience and the ability to multi-task like a fiend.

I have my bachelor's and I type in the neighborhood of 80+ wpm, but I am not looking for temp work. What I need is a stable work environment, steady income, and (I'm going to sound all pragmatic and sensible here, be forewarned) benefits. Gasp! Benefits.

If anyone out there has heard something or if your own company might need someone, I'm open to a lot of different options and I can learn just about anything really fast, so send me a forums PM! Thanks.  ;D

UMMM. I dunno how much of it you would consider 'office work', but if you're looking for mind-numbing monotony you can make some good coin being a Target ETL. If you manage becoming ETL-HR you do little more than office work all day, and if you do well enough you can get into Target corporate which is a lot of office work. Benefits are awesome, you've got some flexibility on how you want them to go.

In other news, anyone from 16-60 who is looking for some mind numbing work for decent pay (depending on the store, the job, and the shift), Target is in the middle of a hiring drive for fourth-quarter peeps. Good way to make some cash on the side.
