Its funny how that show is just a huge filler series though. Its pretty much a day in the life of a Bounty Hunter in which hilarity insues at every turn with a story that is just slightly there. The most popular Filler series ever  8)

wait, what?

Easily my favorite anime series, with Trigun coming in a fairly distant second.  Everything about Bebop was just done right. The writing was top notch.  The standalone episodes were great little individual stories; sometimes cute, sometimes sad.  The overall story arc was absolutely brilliant as well.  It managed to feel epic, while only actually being centered around seven or so people.  The characters were absolutely perfect.  Each on fit into an archetype, but didn't feel confined by their role in it.  Every one of them had separate stories and motivations which occasionally intersected, but it never felt like one character was being ignored in favor of another.  Then there's the music.  Bebop, to me, was all about the music.  Every episode was named after either a song or a style of music, and the composition by Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts was absolutely divine.

Frankly, Cowboy Bebop is the peak of anime genre for me. Very little has been as good since then.

I love the series.

I've purchased several copies of it (so I can give it away to less enlightened friends), have all of the Manga, several duplicate copies of various art books (don't shop the dealer's room when half awake!) *and* I run a role playing game that steals heavily from the series.

It rocks.

I love Cowboy Bebop! This is definitely a show that I can truthfully say I have much respect for because truthfully when I started watching it I didn't really want to because I'm usually not much of a sci-fi kind of person but I had to watch it for a project in school(strangely enough). But while watching it I totally fell in love with it! And now I consider it one of my top favorites!

Since this is a thread to state our opinions regarding our love of Cowboy Bebop, I stated that very little has lived up to Bebop.

But, there have been shows I've highly enjoyed since then.

In fact, I'm a huge Fullmetal Alchemist fan, & Macross Frontier is simply amazing. I've seen a few episodes of Ergo Proxy & GITS: SAC [I have two soundtracks for SAC], & I've enjoyed what I've seen.

But hey, that is my opinion & I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes with it.
