Lol, so are we all gonna try to meet at the Westminster AMC? If so, we should probably try to plan out the where and give someone's number incase one of the flock gets lost.

AMC 24 in Westminster is the theater that's been thrown out there. Although I think it would be fun to go to the midnight showing, I'm not sure everyone could make that time, but that's up to everyone else I guess. We should also probably try to get tickets via online purchasing once we can find some. As for phone number giving I'll willingly and lovingly give mine out as soon as I get my new cell :)

Soooo, unless anyone has any objections, AMC 24 in Westminster? It's hella convenient for me so I could go early and hang out. *Ooooh, DDR, yes.*

As you MIGHT'VE noticed, this is going to be a big event, because teenaged girls are crazy for Edward... You guys NEED to get your tickets early. NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 31st. You can go to the Westminster Promenade 24 and get them from the box office, I believe.

Hun, no offense but I'm not traveling to Denver from Colorado Springs just to get a ticket ^_^;; Can anyone maybe buy me one and let me pay them back at the theater on the 21st?

I am going to cause a stir here.   I have read about these books and I already dont like this series.  Messing around with a tried and true fantasy staple like a vampire is just wrong.   I am not going to go into the detail for the people that may want to be surprised or disappointed in regards to what the author had changed about them.  If you like the idea of this book, a romantic story between a vampire and their prey, then check out a real vampire movie.   Let the right one in.  This is a movie that was also based on a book but looks like what a vampire movie should.   Check out the trailer here.

I want to say that I am not trying to cause a fight.  I know a lot of people love these books and thats just fine.  I just have some concepts about vampires that I feel should be broken or trifled with.  There are better books/movies that deal with the subjects Twilight presents is all.

Coincidently, this movie premiers in Denver on the same night at the Mayan.

I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING!

Don't they have a Will Call?

No offense Bullock, I respect your...opinion, but this isn't a discussion thread for how you view the books, it is a meet up for the movie.

Don't they have a Will Call?
I have trouble trusting any sort of Will Call after working for StubHub...I guess I could try to trust Fandango, but I've had a bad experience with them ^_^;;

I might be able to do that for you. How much are the tickets going to be? I'd like to try and budget things out.

I actually talked to Lunara, and she said she's going to buy me one, lol. Thanks though.

We do have one issue though guys, if we buy the tickets at different times we'll have different rooms.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this?

I think first off, we should probably get a count of people. If there's only 4 or 5 people going, maybe one person can afford it...or something.

Kari: Generally speaking, even when a movie debuts on several screens at a theater, the times are staggered. They rarely have the same movie start on multiple screens at the same time. If each person buys their tickets for the same showing time, chances are you'll all end up in the same theater.

(Plus once your ticket gets ripped at the Promenade, they don't keep track of where you go, so if a few people managed to get a showing on a different screen, it wouldn't be the end of the world if those people went to the same screen as everyone else.)

Well this was an issue brought up to me by Lunara, I just gave you what she said. Personally I'm used to tiny theaters where big premiers get the biggest room, not multiples. I wouldn't know what I'm dealing with.

In the case of the Promenade, you're looking at a theater with 24 screens. And a movie the size of Twilight will probably debut on two or three of those screens. You can almost be certain that they won't start those simultaneously. (If a huge movie debuted on six screens, it might happen.)

Well either way, we aren't going to know the times until early November, that's what the girl at the theater said when Lunara called. We decided it's best to just leave this be until they have times ready.

Something else for the people looking at the thread who are wanting to come to this, me and Lunara were thinking about having a "vampire dinner" prior to the movie. There's an Italian restaurant next to the theater, and we thought it would be cool to eat there beforehand :D Costume is not required but it would make it fun. I think me and Lunara are going with traditional vamp wear lol. Or I'm just going to wear an outfit composed of Twilight wear XD

Still would like a count though. I think I'll send messages to all the people who've shown interest.

So far we have (* means confirmed):
Lunara *
Kari (me)*
Sick Little Puppet *
Toadstool *
Katie * (possibly +1)
Jojo *
Cherrysamurai *(considering her mom lets her)

Wow so, that's almost everyone that's shown interest confirmed. Not bad, I'll inform Lunara.

ALRIGHTY! Here's what we got so far!

The Promenade 24 has said that they are not certain that they will have the midnight showing. They don't know until as early as the first of November. I'll call 'em up then and ask.

Tickets are gonna run at $9.50, I believe. They're $7.50 or so if you're a student. They don't really check school IDs.... >.>

There is an Italian place right in the Promenade area called Johnny Carino's. We were throwing around the silly fact that Edward and Bella's first date was at the Italian Cafe. *Chuckles*

IF there is no midnight showing, how's everyone on the idea of going Friday night instead of midnight Thursday/Friday?

Friday night works for me. It might be easier for those of us in school/work.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

I'm not too into the books but I really want to see the movie. And the AMC theater does this thing where if a movie is before noon on weekends it's $5.00. And the only way I could go is if my sister goes.
