Okay, this happened to me, and its occurrence prompted me to start this thread:
Tonight I decided to dye my hair with Color Silk hair color. I've used different brands in the past, but what I find is that no matter what color it is, even if it's permanent, the dye fades from my hair within a matter of a couple of weeks, leaving me with my natural color. Thus, I purchased Color Silk - a brand I've never used before - in hopes it would stay on my hair like permanent color should.
Okay, so the color I chose was black. I mixed it correctly and allowed it to develop on my hair for the proper time, but when it came time to rinse, things got interesting. The directions said to rinse hair until the water runs clear; however, no matter how much I rinsed it, the dye kept running from my hair!
After twenty minutes the dye was still coming off in the water. And I was scrubbing my hair hard - I couldn't believe how tedious it was to remove the excess dye! *_*
Eventually, the water started getting cold, so I gave up, despite that the color was still washing off. I now have black hair that deposits color on my towel, but I'm not sure how long the color will remain.
