HA HAAAAAaAAA!!!
The Wendy's on the corner by the Marriot must make a blasted FORTUNE NDK weekend.
Yeah, I estimated that it probably pulls in $2.5-$3 million a year in the location it has, but NDK weekend probably contributes to them doing $8,000-$12,000 days. To put that into perspective, the McDonald's I work at, which is a 24-hour facility, located off a major interstate and a fairly busy highway pulls in $2.3 million a year and $7,000 on weekends.
When we did our Wendy's picnic last year, they were doing roughly 100 cars in the noon hour and probably as many on the front counter. If you consider that the average ticket down in the Tech Center is about $6.00, that's close to a $1,200 hour. BIG MONEY. I remember that the trays and receipts were all over the place and Wendy's is not geared for massive counter business, so I was helping coordinate which entrees went on which trays. (The manager was like "Want a job?" as Batman and Rem will recall. We all had a good chuckle about it.)
But yeah, it's definitely a gigantic boost in the fast food/gas station business that weekend in the surrounding areas.
