Has any anime ever made you cry before? I mean like actual tears running down, "That was SO sad!" crying.

One that struck me was last episode of Elfen Lied, I had tears streaming down my cheeks during [spoiler]the final moments of poor Mariko's life... it STILL makes me cry!!!  :'(  No one even likes Mariko, and she deserves just as much love as any other child...and all her life...*sniffle* she was in that cold dark room...and Papa never came for her... :'( *pulls herself together*[/spoiler]

The only other one was the last episode of Chrono Crusade, where [spoiler]Rosette dies. But that wasn't as bad...[/spoiler]

What anime actually put YOU in tears?!?

Kannazuki no Miko.

I saw it in the midst of mourning a 1 year relationship that had ended.
The main characters resembled the two of us in more ways than I wanna count.

What horrible timing.

Woah, being as emotional as me I cry a lot watching anime ^_^;;;

Elfen Lied
Naruto (...sort of pathetic of me xD)
FMA
Zatch Bell
Euerka 7 (love the seires)
Trinity Blood (once...)
Pokemon (when I was 7 and Pikachu almost died in the first episode xD)

Theres probably more .-. I mainly just cried for them because I felt so bad ^_^;;

I felt so bad because Ash had just got him and he only wanted to be friends! My brother calls me a cry baby... I don't mind. XDD

Grave of the Fireflies.

I cannot get through this film without crying.  It's a very powerful anti-war movie that shatters whatever preconceived notions one might have on animation as a potent storytelling medium.

Let's see....

Pokemon Heroes made me cry when one of the best pokemon died
Naruto when....MANY characters died
Chobits cause it ended XD
Cardcaptor Sakura cause it ended
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle cause its sad

There are a lot more I'm just brain dead this morning

There was a couple.    The AMG movie teared me up and also the last couple eps of Love Hina.

Lets see... I can only think of Death Note and Naruto...

Wait... I think InuYasha did too... >>;

If I managed to watch more anime instead of just reading manga, it'd probably be more. I mean, you can only convey so much in non-movable form...

I cry in so many anime but I rather just post a few.

Naruto, well because of all the characters dieing.
Death note, I think we all know why anyone would cry for this one. Unless you never watched the whole series.
Gunslinger Girl, at the end, very sad.
[spoiler]Dragon Ball Z, I cried when Trunks died, he was my fav character.[/spoiler]
dnangel, at the end.
Wolfs Rain, this one was a real tearjerker through the series.
Ouran Host Club, it was so cute but then it ended, it made me sad.
Othello, a manga that had a good and a sad ending.
Blood+, characters I liked died and the ending was sad.
Gundam Seed, a lot of conflict that made me sad and how the story turned out.
FMA, too many characters died, and ending was sad.
Cowboy Bebop, seriously, that should have made everyone cry at one point.
S-Cry-Ed, I watched every single episode but at the end it made me sad because it was over.
Samurai Champloo, ending is sad to me.
Loveless, I didn't really like how it ended but I still thought it was sad.
Spirited Away, it was too cute and the ending made me cry because it was so good.
Witch Hunter Robin, ending is tragic, but it was a good series.

Ok I'm stopping now, but I still have so many more that made me cry T.T

The saddest anime I've seen and read as a manga has to be Saikano. It got me to cry so many times over and over again. T^T Also, Full Moon wo Sagashite gets me to cry alot as well. On the day of the NDK I was waiting for Jessie to come back home from school, (I had slept over at her house so we could go together) reading Full Moon wo Sagashite in her room, and when she arrived so we could go, I was in tears, sobbing like a baby, lol. Another one that made me cry was, Fruits Basket. <3

There is one that ALMOST made me cry and that was Barefoot Gen. It's along the same lines as Grave of the Fireflies.It was about the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in graphic detail. I really dont cry on anything though.

Im with you on the Graves of Fireflies. I made my mom watch it and she was bawlin.
Also the ending of ChronoCrusade was really sad too.


as for some of the other stuff listed, I cant really relate on that. I remember the parts you speak or the the endings but I just dont grasp that feeling. Cool points but not sad to me

The Nuriko scene from the second season of Fushigi Yuugi had both me and a friend crying. The only reason it's funny is because her brother walked in and asked what we where doing, both of us quickly paused the tape, wiped out eyes, and replied in unison "nothing."

I feel sad when I finish a series.
But FMA made me cry during the show. All who seen it know the one part. I found only a few people who didn't feel sad at the end of that episode. Really worst when it happens in real life.
Also Wolfs Rain, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloon, and Gundam Seed.

...sad, sad, sad, ne? G-Gomen about the spoilers, I didn't mean to!!!

A manga that made me spill a few tears was Lament of the Lamb, I totally forgot about that because it isn't an anime.

Yeah Wolfwood was sad in Trigun. Also I nearly cried with what happened to Fugiwara Takumi Toyota Panda Turneo AE86 (that Car is called by too many names) in Initial D.
