Hey all,

Just wanna through a "comment box" out there for all you rave fans.   Let us know what you liked/disliked.   We can take these things and make 2008 better then 2007!   Please use this to talk about the rave and not what the rave could be, i.e. change the music.  Its going to remain a rave.  After all, it is call the Masqarave!  Anyway got a suggestion or comment?  Fire away!

I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING!

Don't break the electricity.... Lol.

If we could make it a bit darker... But then, that might be part of safety to keep it lit around the edges of the room. It didn't feel dark enough unless you walked near the front-ish...

The lighting was really great. Music was amazing.

All in all, I had a freakin' blast. And maybe it's a good thing that we lost power because otherwise, I would never have woken up the next day. >_<

Another success. Better than last year. Way to go, DJ B!

YEAH!! Don't break the electricity next time DJB!! hehehe.

I totally agree with this. I believe you're right about the safety thing, we checked on lowering the lights and couldn't. I don't remember exactly why cause my head had alot going on at once.

I enjoyed myself immensely.  I would have to agree on the lighting though but I guess safety first you know...

Unfortunately, it is a safety issue. I will just say that some people ruined it for a lot of people, so I do not see it changing anytime soon. Our directors may correct me on this, but this is my understanding.

Do you think safety lights could be set  up around the edges? I see this done at a LOT of raves I go to, it is a safety issue in a lot of cases, so they usually set up a light source from the floor (like movie theatres, but removable), it creates a twilight effect without compromising the atmosphere of the party.

And that one more time remix gets me every time.

I enjoy it too.

Noted.   I figured it might happen because the stage kinda only has one outlet.   Pluging in 1000 Watt PA System along with mixers, turntables and effects is ruff on one power source.

We should try to arrange multiple circuits to the stage next year, then.  I don't have my NDK notebook with me, so bug me about this sometime.

Oh oh oh oh! Forgot to add. The rave.. the music was more peppy then heavy and intense. Less trance like actually. And the lighting was terribly bright for a rave..

Is that good or bad?? I know that when I was done playing people asked me to speed it up some more. The thing was the stuff that I was playing just sounded slower. In reality it was just as fast, I had the pitch maxed out on a few tracks.

DJB played high tempo remix house/trance
I played alot of progressive trance/house and Prog Breaks
Blademiester played tech house and prog house.

There was a wide range of music there.

Your guys mix sets are pretty intense already, I think the only way to improve is to upgrade all the equipment like the speakers and lights.  Lets tear this hotel down!

I think you're right. The sound needs to be much louder to fill out that room. I'm used to going to a club or somewhere and being not able to hear a friend if he was more then 3 feet away. We need to crank it up to 11 without bustin up the power again.

Sorry to be the Voice of Reason... but we're using the hotel's gear in that room and we do not have license to blow out their speakers.

naturally  8). We have to not damage anything too. Be it, our stuff or anyone else. But we might be able to pull in a bit more around the stage just out from our stuff. Hmm...  :-\

I have been toying with the idea of having a friend, who is a Happy Hardcore DJ come in and do a set.   I believe that it may drive people out though.   Not everyone can handle 170-190 BPM.  I think that HHC would cater to a minority.
