There is a virus on deviant art. all onlookers and deviant art members, yo may want to avoid the site for awhile.
 I ran acorss it twice. Once on my pc and then  on my laptop. The virus is not located on the same portion of dev art either. I was on my PC deleting deviant notices when all of a sudden my screen went white and acted as if it was trying to open a pdf file. I didn't click on one. My screen froze. I couldn't do anything. Luckily my browser crashed and it couldn't infiltrate itself in. I was using sea monkey not crappy as Internet Explorer. Then later I got on my laptop. I was once again on dev art but this time searching other galleries when it hit. The exact scenario happened again. A white screen acting like a pdf file trying to open itself. The web addy for the "online pdf file" was the exact same as before. Thankfully it couldn't get through vista on my lap top. My husband did a search on the nasty little bugger. Apparently it acts like a Trojan virus. It will attack your registry and rename important running files by changing ever so slightly the proper coding for those files.

I wish I could go back onto dev art to find contact info, but I am to nervous and don't want my computer to get infected. So I am just sending out this as a warning to everyone.

I've heard of users having difficulty, but I have not had any troubles. Are you not subscribed? I've heard that because non-subscribed users see ads on their pages, the virus may be from one of the ads. And this hasn't happened to everyone, so you shouldn't worry about it as much.

No i am not a subscribed member yet. From what I red, its believed to be a pop up and came about with the sites new layout change.

Ah, that's a possibility too. I dunno, I guess you should just be cautious until they get it fixed.
