Since this is going to be my first post (after my first visit to NDK...), I would like to say hello to you all and thank you in advance for any advice you may or may not give to me...
To get the topic back on track I have gotta know...
How does one find the area between creepy and genuinely nice and what can I do to not seem like the typical guy? I have always have trouble talking with girls (or anybody that I don't know for that matter...) and I just don't get it. Walking through NDK with my two friends I noticed that girls were flocking to take pictures of them (even though none of us were cosplayed up...). The two of them didn't have to do a thing to get noticed or talked to; and yet every single time (no exaggeration there...) I would introduce myself and fail miserably at even the simplest task of attempting a conversation with a female. How do you approach a girl and what do you say??? So far it seems that all the women in my life are more shallow than the amount of water it takes to drown a baby... (visual enough?)
/. .\ i suppose from a girls point of view...i do not think that you would want to be inbetween creepy and genuinely nice...girls like nice guys...also for some reason they end up with guys who treat them terribly. i used to have a fear of guys, but since then i have made friends who are guys and i am not as affraid (even though i get very nervous when trying to speak to someone new). i do know that girls like compliments...so if a girl you were trying to speak to were cosplaying, you could compliment them on thier outfit, or a good way to start a conversation is asking them who they are cosplaying as. or if you already know and like the show you could say "your ... , i love that show". it shows that you have similar interests and gives you something to talk about. also...i believe that it is very important to just be yourself, if you have a good personality and a kind heart...show it, it is hard for some girls to talk to guys as well, but opening the conversation with something they know helps them to feel more at ease and comfortable with you.
i hope this helps.../. .\
