There are many people older than me on this forum. I am not even 30 yet. The youngest ones are 13 years of age and there are a few in the older range of 40. Considering the American anime phenomenon started at least couple decades ago with the trading of VHS tapes, there are going to be some people in the 4 decade range.

I am the first person registered on this forum though. I did install the thing after all.

My mom thought she was too old compared to a lot of people cosplaying... but I convinced her otherwise. Showed her that there's people her age and much older cosplaying (82 yr old Rikku anyone...?) 

Here's her reason though... she's doing regular cosplay... but also crossplaying as Deidara. She was worried it would be weird. But she's got the perfect hair, likes messing with clay, and has the attitude of Deidara. Heh... but she's good now. ^.^ Yay!

Check This thread. That seems to be the most up-to-date one. I wouldn't expect an official list at the convention though. All of these are set up by people on the forums here.

Karma is basically people applauding you or smiting you on how you act or reply to people's questions or treat others, or just how cool you are ^_^ You start giving them out at 100 posts and you can receive them anytime as long as you give us a reason to

Simple, sadly.  I'm in the marching band.  The band plays at the football games.  Absences are allowed, but only for extreme cases (ie, death and/or wedding of a family member).  This is not such an extreme case - thus, I'll be gone for about twelve hours Saturday, from 1PM until 1AM.

And I suspected karma was something like that - less than 40 posts to go. ^_^

You could always say you have a prior obligation that needs attending and that you can't get out of it.
