NDK 2008 Presents the Battle of the (Rock)Bands!

Top 8 Qualifiers will compete for two prizes. Prizes will be awarded for top Cosplay/Performance and GamePlay Ability.
Try outs will be held in the NDK Video Game Room the evening of September 12th and the morning of September 13th.
Battle of the Bands to be held September 13th at NDK Main Events at 4pm.

Q: What version of Rock Band will be at the tournament?
A: The XBox 360 version.

Q: What downloadable content will be available?
A: All the songs that are available from XBLA a week before the convention.

Q: How many songs do we get to play?
A: Due to time constraints, only One. However, you will be able to pick your song.

Q: Can we use our own equipment?
A: Yes, especially if you've decorated it to be band appropriate. We will have waivers for contestants to sign to use their own equipment.

Q: Do we need a full band to compete, or can we only be a partial band?
A: Only full bands will be able to compete. However, if your band has someone doubling up on parts, such as Drums and Singer, you may compete. We require all four positions of the band be filled, not one person per position.

Q: Can we have more than four people on stage at a time?
A: You may. If you want to switch off on certain tasks, or have extras on their for Cosplay/Performance value.

Q: How are you scoring for the Technical aspect of the competition?
A: We don't want to go into too much detail, but the short answer is the harder the difficulty that the band members play, the more potential points the band can accrue.
