Nan Desu Kan

As many of you know, NDK has always shared a commitment to our community. Part of this is our annual charity auction; 100% of the proceeds from our auction goes to the charity of our choice. Every year we have chosen a charity with a special connection to our hearts. In the past, we have given to the Japan America Society of Colorado, the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Fund, the American Diabetes Association, and others. This year, we have chosen another charity close to our hearts.

All of you who've been to NDK's awesome Video Game Room know the golden rule of the VGR: "Pass the Controller." The embodies the spirit of fun an generosity of NDK, so we thought, "...what if there was a charity which also embodied this spirit?"

It turns out that Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins at Penny Arcade were ahead of us. This year, we're dedicating the charity auction to everyone who's been a child, to everyone who's been sick, and to everyone who loves games and toys. All of the proceeds from this year's auction will go to Child's Play, where they will be used to provide games and toys for the kids at The Children's Hospital here in Denver.

Please come to our charity auction this year and buy some of the amazing items that have been donated to support this great cause. Our donors continue to surprise us with their generosity and the really cool things they provide. Let's show the world the NDK spirit: show them that anime fans and gamers are caring and generous. But more important than that, come to our charity auction and help put a smile on the face of a child to came to a scary, joyless hospital, only to find that you have put an awesome game there for him or her to enjoy.
