Charity
As a registered nonprofit organization, NDK is committed to best serving our community at large. Each year, we consider it a privilege to be able to help a charity with special meaning to a member of our staff. We do so by holding an auction at the convention and donating 100% of the proceeds to that select charity.
About $75,000 has been donated to previous worthy recipients: the Japan America Society of Colorado, American Red Cross, Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Diabetes Association, Child's Play, United Way Gulf Recovery Fund and the Japan Red Cross.
This year, we'll be supporting two charities for the first time: the American Heart Association (in honor of a member of the NDK family lost to a heart condition) and the Aurora Victim Relief Fund, to benefit victims of the Century 16 shooting.
